QuickWitWhat data we collect
QuickWit collects the following data when you use the app or website:
- Account information: your email address, display name, and account identifier are used to authenticate you, personalize the app, keep data scoped to your account, and manage app access.
- Website resource information: first name and email address submitted through the Resources form.
- Limited website measurement data: content page viewed, controlled acquisition category, QuickWit App Store link placement and campaign token, Resources form outcome, and requested practice-kit download. We do not send names, email addresses, form values, raw URLs, query strings, referrers, or raw errors with these events.
- Practice and app usage data: including prompts, spoken transcripts or typed responses, coaching, session history, progress, feature interactions, and limited lifecycle events used to provide the service and understand product reliability.
- Voice recordings: recorded during supported exercises and sent to Deepgram for real-time speech-to-text conversion. QuickWit does not retain the raw recording after transcription. The resulting transcript may be stored with your account as part of your session history.
- Subscription and purchase history: product, entitlement, trial, renewal, and purchase-status information used to provide and restore QuickWit Pro and to understand subscription performance. Apple processes payment details; QuickWit does not receive your full payment-card information.
- Device and attribution identifiers: if you enable remote notifications, an Expo push token is associated with your account so notifications can be delivered and disabled correctly. QuickWit also uses a random installation identifier and Apple AdServices attribution results to measure its own App Store advertising. QuickWit does not use the Apple advertising identifier (IDFA) or track you across other companies' apps or websites.
- Diagnostic and AI observability data: limited handled app-error details may be sent to help diagnose reliability problems. AI request and response traces can include exercise prompts, spoken transcripts or typed responses, coaching output, model details, token usage, timing, and operational metadata. Raw authentication credentials, voice recordings, names, and email addresses are excluded from product-analytics events; AI traces are a separate observability system and can contain the text being processed.
How we use your data
We use the data we collect to:
- Provide and operate the QuickWit app and its features
- Track your session count and streak to display your progress
- Manage and restore your subscription status via RevenueCat
- Improve app performance and exercise quality
- Provide the practice-kit PDFs requested through the website Resources form
- Send occasional communication tips to Resources subscribers
You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time by using the unsubscribe link in an email or contacting support@blueribbonops.com.
We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
Service providers
QuickWit uses the following service providers to operate the app and website. Each has its own privacy practices:
- Anthropic (Claude API): generates exercise prompts and coaching feedback
- ElevenLabs: converts text to speech for exercise narration
- Deepgram: converts your spoken responses to text
- Supabase: authenticates app accounts and stores account-scoped app and session data, plus first names and email addresses submitted through the website Resources form
- RevenueCat: validates and manages subscription purchases, entitlements, and purchase history
- Expo: provides a device-specific push token when you opt in to remote notifications
- Braintrust: provides AI evaluation and observability. Traced model calls can include the prompt or transcript sent for processing, the generated response or coaching, model and token information, timing, and limited request metadata. QuickWit does not intentionally send account email addresses or authentication credentials in these traces.
- PostHog: measures limited app product events, feature-flag eligibility, and handled app errors. App analytics uses an account identifier after sign-in but does not send names, email addresses, raw authentication material, voice recordings, or transcripts. App and website session replay and automatic interaction capture are disabled. Website measurement uses cookieless server-hash mode without identification, browser cookies, analytics local/session storage, automatic page or interaction capture, performance monitoring, surveys, feature flags, or automatic exception capture.
- Apple: processes App Store purchases and provides privacy-preserving Apple Ads attribution results
Website storage
After a successful Resources form submission, the website stores qw_resources_unlocked in your browser’s local storage. This value is only an unlock flag; it does not contain your name, email address, or form responses. It remains until you clear the site’s stored data.
Website analytics does not use cookies, local storage, or session storage. PostHog’s cookieless server-hash mode estimates unique visitors with a privacy-preserving hash generated on PostHog’s servers. QuickWit does not use that measurement to identify website visitors or join individual website clicks to app installs.
Data retention
Your account, saved transcript or typed response, coaching, progress, and subscription data is retained while your account is active or as needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations. QuickWit does not retain the raw voice recording after it is sent for real-time transcription. AI observability traces and other provider-processed data are retained according to the relevant account configuration and provider terms.
Information submitted through the website Resources form is retained until you unsubscribe, request deletion, or it is no longer needed to provide the resources and occasional communication tips described above.
Deletion requests
You can request deletion of your app account and associated app data from Profile > Delete account in QuickWit. To request deletion of website Resources information, or if you cannot access the app, email support@blueribbonops.com with the subject line “Data Deletion Request.” We will process your request within 30 days.
Children’s privacy
QuickWit is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
